Seth Bodie is a freelance costume designer and theater educator with a penchant for beautiful things. Seth has worked in Theatre, Dance and Opera as a designer and director (as well as performer!) for 15 years in the New England area. Originally from the Hudson Valley, Seth spent his formative years acting in youth companies and working backstage at any theater he could. His passion for knowing everything about the craft led him to a BFA from Emerson College.
After Emerson, Seth did everything from designing to tech crew to being a singing waiter on a harbor cruise boat. Much, much more recently, Seth has received an MFA from the Yale School of Drama. While residing in Boston, Seth taught for arts institutions such as The Boston Arts Academy, New England Conservatory, Suffolk University; and has repeatedly worked with companies such as Yale Cabaret, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Actors Shakespeare Project, SpeakEasy Stage Company, Lyric Stage of Boston, Stoneham Theatre, The Boston Early Music Festival, The Handel and Haydn Society and Opera Boston. Seth is now a resident of Brooklyn and beyond and is fascinated by old textiles, MGM movies from the past, and the symbiosis between crows and wolves.
